You have may noticed that my dropbox got suspended a few times in the last weeks because of the high bandwith usage, so I decided to leave dropbox for now and start using GoogleDrive instead and share the access of my folder only to the e-mail address of the buyers.
So everybody who already bought the skinpack, please send me an access request by email specifying which skinpacks has been bought, a Gmail account to send the Gdrive invitation and your unit model number "Cxxx".
To know your model number simply go in the System Information screen on your unit as described in this post:
how-to-tell-roadnav-satnav-model-number
Once you tell me your model number i'll send you back an activation file that you will need to put in the SkinManager folder.
This was the annoying part of the news, let's see now what you'll get in this new skinpack:
- A complete rework of Skinmanager (tnx EAC!)
- A new Skin 6 based on MyDean firmware
- New graphic for most sections of Skin3
- New graphics for DSP, GPS, Clendar, Calc etc.. on Skin5

- Unified skinpack for all firmwares from 1.7.9 to 1.1.10
- Arabic and other languages support in fw 1.1.10

SKINPACK COMPOSITIONS AND PRICES
To satisfy more user requests and to have a more uniform portfolio I decided to change also the Skinpacks compostition, so now the people can buy also a "mini" skinpack made of a just a couple of skins (Skin2 and another skin choosable betwen Skin3, Skin4 and Skin6) or a mix of skins of his choice according to the folliwing prices:
Skin2 will be always included in every skinpack and will be considered as a free gift.
Skin3, Skin4 and Skin6 costs 10 euro each.
Skin5 (Carplay) cost 20 euro.
2 Skins in a choice of Skin3,4,6 cost 20 euro
2 Skins in a choice of Skin3,4,6 cost 20 euro
2 Skins (choice of 3,4,6) + Skin5 cost 30 euro (like the old fullpack)
The Full 6 Skinpack cost 40 euro.
In this way I cover all the possible combination, giving a wide variety of prices and discounts on bigger packages.
To buy a skinpack select the version you like in the list below and hit the BuyNow button.
After payment I will send you an invitation to the GoogleDrive folder that contain the skinpack you have choosen and i will request you your unit model number as described before.
Once I'll have the model number you'll receive the activator file to be pasted in the skinmanager folder.
So this time the procedure is not automatic, you will not be redirected to my dropbox links, you will have to wait for my replies. Please don't hammer me if I'll be late sometimes, I'm human, i sleep at night and i have a real job. I hope you understand that.

Changing firmware showing home icons without names, just icons; restarting unit didn't change it. I changed my DeanPlayer to Nitrogen to check, but prefer DeanPlayer, how to find it? C026

E per ultimo invece volevo sapere, durante l'installazione ho eseguito il Patched ma non ho capito a cosa serve e cosa avrebbe patchato, grazie.

DeleteHobdrive è tipo Torque su android , per il monitoraggio della centralina dell'auto tramite elm327, cerca con google e lo trovi subito.
La patch del sistema è quella che permette l'uso di radioeditor e dei pulsanti delle stazioni radio, skin diverse per il player audio ed altre cosette. Insomma è un must!

I just installed the new skins today, and it's so cool compared to the original interface !! The new skinmanager is very intuitive and it keeps my old settings (ADSet, radio stations, ...).

excuse, seller is Roadnav..... we don't find motherboards on either vendor... impossible now on Aliewpress... it's seem be the End for the S100/150 headunits serie.

Hi KoTiX, I'm running CarPlay skin for about 10 days, everything works perfect! I have some questions concerning re-shuffling icons. Can I move audio icon (function) from media into the home page for my convenience, let's say, in place of browser which I'm not using? Can I change clocks in the "world clocks" to my own preferred location? If yes, how? Thanks in advance. C026

DeleteBTW faking the id of your model with another one that have audio button in home screen (c201) you can have the same result.
Btw you will have problem with the canbus if your unit have it. you'll need to edit the machine mapcanbus.XML to set your canbus number on c201 model...

My radio frequency is now stuck on 87.50 and does not work. All other aspects of the radio including skins seem to be working great. Any ideas?

Delete1. I installed this skinpack with a skin 4 at first on 1.1.10.0. MP3 tags worked!
ReplyDeleteI pressed a button PATCH in skinmanager and tags ceased to work (when switching tracks manually) :(
When I pressed a button UNPATCH - tags began to work.
2. Then I had to replace a firmware on 1.7.9.0 because in other firmwares gets out the white screen in case of switching on.
I pressed a button PATCH in skinmanager and exchanged nothing - cover of a player remained the same.
When pressed a button UNPATCH - when loading there was platform.exe error and it was necessary to put a firmware again.
I suggest to remove the PATCH button for firmwares 1.7.9.0.
Then, after reinstallation of a firmware, I tried click to install MyDean player and I received platform.exe error too :( I had to put a firmware once again.
Sorry, Kotix, but crude product, considering that costs money.
Let's explain a little bit here how the things work:
Delete1. I beleive you were on fw 1.2.10 and not 1.1.10 because tags as been fixed on 1.2.10 and not before. So why you have this dejavù.
2. You know that Alex make the patches and i cannot decide for him what to do and what not, I can only ask or suggest him. One of these requests i made was the possibility to have the Cover and the Slider movable and resizable. He did it on fw 1.10.9 and newer, on fw 1.7.9 as it was already old he did not include it but the patch for this fw still include the radio editor mod.
Because the tags bug was not fixed in august the only way to have the tags working was to use the 1.7.9 fw and (why not) its patch.
Regarding Mydean Player Platform.exe error i beleive i have already fixed it in august release or in the upcoming one.
The product is not crude, it is always under heavy developement and shit happens every day and so we kill bugs everyday.
I have no idea what did you buy or which version of skinpack are you using, I'm here to help, to fix my mistakes and i'm sure i'm making happy a lot of people with it. I hope you are still one of them..
It absolutely precisely was 1.1.10.0 firmware and tags worked at it.

DeleteAlex updated the platform.exe patch but not the audio.exe ( it was still from the 1.10.9 fw)
Anyway the updated skinpack with 1.2.10 and 1.0.11 support is uploading, check the Gdrive folder in a few hours :)
There are more than 24 hours spent after Your post, but Gdrive folder doesn't changed. What I'm doing wrong?

ReplyDelete1. After installation (on C026, skin 5) I have lost volume control from the unit but it was working from steering wheel control. However I can see on screen double volume indicator, unassumingly one was responsible for steering wheel control and other from the unit? I was not expecting to have this... What I've done wrong? After reinstalling the skin it seems to be working as before; I will report later if the problem is still there.
2. I did not see any change Nitrogen player skin, it is still original (?) balck and yellow ugly skin. Note I did try to reinstall manually few times as you mentioned. Should I have the new skin for Nitrogen available with 5.01 Skin5 or it is redesigned for skin6 only?
Anyways, I do appreciate your hard work, good job!
1. It's a small issue that happen sometimes but it's enough to go to audio player and everything go back to normal.
Delete2. Nitrogen skins are in nitrogen Settings->SkinSelector

DeleteIf your unit have canbus you probably have not luck to fake it.
DeleteAnyway if your unit have canbus you should edit the file machinemapcanbus.xml and switch the canbus number of your model and c201 model.
My unit has no canbus so i'm not totally sure but it should work.
