2015 - S100 Skinpack for firmware 1.8.9 (updated also the 1.6.9 skinpack)

I found the time to adapt my previous skinpack to the newer 1.8.9 firmware of  our S100 units.
This skinpack will have exactly the same new features  introduced the last week in the skinpack for 1.7.9 firmware, no less, no more.
Just the skins are updated with the changes and differences found between the 2 firmware versions.
Please don't ask me what are these differences because i can only see the ones that have a graphic effect on the interface. I know that something has changed in the audio player regarding the Artist/Album/Song tags but I beleive they make some mistake somewhere....
Anyway the playlist button that wasn't working on my skins with this fw now work again
 and this is the important thing.

UPDATE N°1: I just fixed a missing IPOD folder in skin3 and I added a better french string translation.
UPDATE N°2: I have updated and included all the features of the 1.7.9 skinmanager\skintool to the 1.6.9 skinpack too.

HOW TO GET THE SKINPACK

 To download the skinpack you have to go to this post:

Once the payment is confirmed you will be redirected to the Skinpacks folder (click on "return to seller site") where you can find older versions, the curent one  and even the new ones when they will be available.
THIS SKINPACK DOESN NOT INCLUDE THE CARPLAY SKIN!!

These are the packs included in the folder now:
- Skinpack 12.01.15 for fw 1.8.9
- Skinpack 12.01.15 for fw 1.7.9
- Skinpack 12.01.15 for fw 1.6.9
- SkinPack for fw 1.0.9.0 to 1.5.9
- SkinPack for fw up to 1.18.7


I'll try to keep the Skinpack folder link address the same as long as i can , but if it start to get spammed all over internet I'll surely change it and I'll start to distribute the packs in another way, so please.... DON'T SPAM IT

      1.8.9 is not available for all models but i made my skinpack compatible in case anybody use it.
      There are no relevant difference between 1.7.9 and 1.8.9, if you are on 1.7.9 stay with that.

    Hi! just a few questions:
    I've original Skin installed and some troubles:
    - Telefon: If I press on a contact and than press green phone butten, not the contact is dialed, it's redialling last call.
    - Telefon: If I press on a contact, I want to dial contact I've to press several times on the contact before dialling
    - Wifi: I've to refresh wifi serveral times (50x) before my iPhone hotspot is recognized by the device

    Is this fixed with your skins?

      For the phone issue I believe you should update your firmware first.
      My skins change the layout and graphic of the interface, with my addons and mods you will have some more customizations and options that will improve a bit the overall usability but I cannot solve bugs like the WiFi connection.
      Everything is explained in my previous posts in this blog.

      Thanks for information!
      IIve just a question: What exactly is this firmware and do you have it?
      at the moment I've a android system installed.
      But this issues are not fixed, especially wifi.

      I see... I thought you have a wince unit.
      Please go to roadnav.com and look for the firmware for your unit.
      Also read the xda wiki about s150 units, the link is on the right side of this blog.

      Hi!
      yes I've S100 and now I'try Android and a 3G Modul for internet (it could be faster connection).
      If Android and google maps will not work fast and easy, I'll switch to WINCE again if:
      - a telefon skin is available for easy calling persons out of contacts
      - Internet connection works fast

      You may can answer last two points?

    I always used a wifi dongle for my internet connection, sharing the connection with my phone as hotspot. I never used a 3g dengle.
    To call your contacts you simply press twice on the contact name, there is nothing difficult...

      Hi, yes sounds all great, but I've used two devices in two cars and always the same:
      - Telefone to call a contact is very hard, especially you re in heavy traffic.
      - Wifi no chance at all, takes lot of time to connect. It should be connecting by the device itself... automatically before gps is started.
      thats really difficult...

      Well maybe on android is a little better but don't expect nothing special because the bluetooth side was very buggy in the old firmwares.
