In this new firmware there are some changes in the user interface, not very relevant but it's better if you want to use this skinpack to upgrade your unit to this firmware, downloading it from roadnavdotcom.
This is the 15.11.2014 changelog:
- The skins are updated to suit the new firmware 1.7.9
- Many fixes and adjustments in Skinmanager (English is default language now)
- Skin4 is darker now to gain more contrast and its Nitrogen skin is darker too match it
- Some new sections skinned in Skin4: SystemInfo,SettingsGeneral, SettingsLogo,SettingsTime,WorldTime,BTSearch,BTMusic
- Some rework on Skin4 in Radio section.
The skins are independent between model versions, they work almost on every models.
To install the skins you need to:
1. extract the skinpack on the root of a normal SD card
2. set navi path to point to \skinmanager\skinmanager.exe
3. hit the navi button (twice maybe)
Once you install at least one skin, you will have skinmanager installed in the section Tool->Games (or APP) and you can switch skins in about 10 seconds.

Once the payment is confirmed you will be redirected to the Skinpacks folder where you can find older versions, the curent one and even the new ones when they will be available.

- Skinpack for fw 1.6.9
- SkinPack for fw 1.0.9.0 to 1.6.9

ReplyDeleteI have installed the new skinmanager yesterday evening. I have also installed the "old" Firmware but does have no problems with your skinmanager and skin 4. Only in the radio section under BAND AM text doesn't fit in Mhz Display. I´ve been waiting for the download password from roadnav for my Kia Sportage MY2013 (c074-1) and will test it with the new FW. will gave you response than.

Hi Andrè, if you mean to add station buttons in the radio interface, just forget it... it's not possible.

Go in radio->list and hold your finger on the number of the station and it will be stored.

Ho notato che in questo fw mancano 3 cose sicuramente rispetto a quello vecchio funzionante anche se con parecchi bug, ossia un file LCD.ini, un file PlatformAPI.dll e una cartella intera sotto s100 program di nome S100UI oltre a quella S100X1UI che invece c'è (ma in quello vecchio c'erano tutti)
Te ne sarei grato per poter finalmente provare le tue skin ed evitare di andare in Cina!
Sembra che per la tua bmw x1 abbiano fatto una versione speciale di firmware, dove sia l'eseguibile che l'mcu sono totalmente differenti dai soliti.
DeletePlatformapi.dll credo che manchi perchè le stringhe non sono criptate, come nei vecchi firmware.
S100UI non serve perchè va a guardare la cartella S100x1UI, sono sicuro perchè l'ho provato sullemulatore e lì funziona tutto.
probabilmente non ti si è copiato tutto dalla sd alla radio.
Le mie skin non funzioneranno purtroppo perchè sono nella cartella s100UI ed usano cartelle diverse al suo interno. dovresti sostituire anche il platform.exe ma poi di sicuro non andrà qualcos'altro.
Ti ringrazio infinitamente per la tua pazienza....oggi stesso hanno ri-aggiornato il fw anche se pesa 64mb invece di 72mb ....poi c'è una nota sotto con scritto "self extracting.exe"

ReplyDeleteAnnosa questione c219....ho fatto "upgrade?" che non ha cambiato nulla a vedersi o a sentirsi ma volevo sapere a parte le skin che evidentemente non posso installare (usando idrive) posso fare update di qualcos'altro tipo: non ho ancora l'elenco stazioni per nome ma per frequenza e le scritte dei nomi stazioni sono molto piccole oltre che appaiono solo quando clicco su rds, ma io vorrei che si vedessero nel riquadro in alto sempre al posto o a fianco all'orario che invece è sempre presente e che comunque ho già nel quadro strumenti. Poi la ricezione radio sempre disturbata. Si può fare qualche modifica funzionale più che estetica?

You are right, change the font number of those parts (or if it is missing add font="13" or any number you like) according to the fonts described in the font_en.xml.

DeleteWell if you understand the xml is very easy, the main problem is how to test your work. I use roadrover emulator but just a few screens work on it, so you'll have to rename the xml to see your results. If you are just starting to learn i suggest you to choose another section like settings, bluetooth or radio.

The time text in 12-hr mode in particular seems to get cut off whenever it's inside a box. Ideally I'd like to drop the leading zero and am/pm as well (so 9:43 vs 09:43am). There's a few others as well, so perhaps I can email you?

Anyway I cannot modify everything, many things are fixed, what you see in radio screen in the date box is just the result of a tricky cover. Also consider other languages top that may change a little bit.

But now have I some problems.
Have load the skin again after a factory reset and the S100 starts OK and all functions are Ok.
But when I should parking my car for the night the S100 will not shunt down as normal.
I have wait for about 5 min. then I push on the Power-button for shuntdown.
And now the unit will not start OK!
Have only the car logo and the radio, can push the button for AS can I use, but nothing else...
Have You any solution for me?
I removed the positive terminal of the battery overnight.
